AKFCF WORKSHOPS
Sunday, March 23
Workshops (Each workshop will be presented once)

Join us for three workshops focused on Restaurant Leadership. We can’t tell our story as business owners without
the people whose stories define our business every day. We’ll explore how to consistently improve your KFC
Operations to deliver exceptional results with emphasis on our leaders, both the Restaurant General Manager
(RGM) and Above Restaurant Leader (ARL).

Workshops are:

1. Building Sales Thru Effective Upselling And Local Store Marketing Strategies That Work
Take the next step in growing your business by learning what many successful operators are doing to build on
the transactions they already have. Learn to grow your average ticket with an “Up-selling and Add-on Mindset.”
We will introduce many strategies that work and discuss how to analyze fully to ensure add-on incrementality,
not trade-off. We will also explore Local Store Marketing strategies that are proven to build transactions,
acquire guests, and move guests up from bargains that drive them to the store to the ticket builders that drive
profit.

2. The Leadership Leverage: Do What is Yours to Do
Most organizations struggle because leaders are so busy doing the jobs of their team members and junior
management that they are not doing their own job. This session is designed to empower franchisees and their
leadership teams to maximize growth by ensuring each team member excels in their role rather than stepping
into their roles for them.
Through interactive exercises and real-life stories, you’ll discover how to:
• Recognize “managing down” and the reasons it occurs.
• Learn a simple, workable process to break the cycle of “managing down” and empower your leaders to
find their purpose in your organization while being more strategic and customer-focused.
• Create a culture that expects and celebrates big leaders doing big things.
Join us to learn the power of unlocking the potential in your team and achieving year over year unit growth.
Led by Guest Speaker Monica Rothgery.

3. Building An Effective Routine For Above Store Leaders
Running a Restaurant is hard. Leading the people running it is another kind of challenge in itself. Whether you
are above one store or many, you wear many hats. Many days you may feel it is the Fire Fighter or the Juggler
you identify with most. While your teams have many systems and processes in place to give them guidance, it
is the ARL that often feels they have to figure it out on their own. We will focus on building a planning tool to
simplify ARL’s daily, weekly and monthly routines leading to amazing operational execution.
